Panicha Cats is a small cattery situated in idyllic rural surrounds, about 30 minutes from the city of Adelaide.
Our aim is to breed beautiful, friendly, playful and above all else healthy kittens, true to their breed standard.
Because we are a small cattery we are able to raise all our kittens as members of our family and lavish them with all the love and attention they deserve. We take much joy in hearing their little purrs and sharing their many adventures.
Welcome to our world of cats.
We are registered breeders with The Governing Council of Cat Fancy of South Australia.
All our cats are FIV, FeLV and PKD tested negative.
Panicha Cats is a closed cattery and do not offer out side matings.

British Shorthair
Their look in one word is Majestic.
The body of the British Shorthair is classic cobby. They are a well balanced medium to large cat which are broad shouldered, muscular and powerful with a full broad chest, strong short to medium legs, rounded paws and a tail, thick at the base and rounded at the tip.
British have an extremely soft, dense, short coat that comes in many colours. They have a wonderful rounded head, chubby well-developed cheeks with large expressive round eyes.
The beautiful thing about the British is the constant smile they seem to have. This is due to the shape of their whisker pads. The Cheshire cat out of Alice in Wonderland was based on a Tabby British Shorthair.
British shorthairs are extremely calm and tolerant. They are gentle and very affectionate. A British will form a special relationship with each member of the family (even the dog). They are very intelligent and enjoy interactive games with their family or a lone game of tinker ball. A British will keep them selves amused tolerably well but do love being cuddled and stroked and will never miss a chance to show you how much they love you. They have distinct personalities and are a real joy. British Shorthairs are well suited to the indoor life style and adore being spoilt.

Selkirk Rex
Welcome to the Curly Side.
Selkirk rexs are distinctly different to all other rex breeds. They have a dense soft coat that feels like cotton wool. They are often referred to as The Cats in Sheep's Clothing.
The Selkirk Rexs coat has curls that fall loosely over the body with the curl being most prominent around the neck, underside and rear. They also have wonderful curly whiskers.
The Selkirk Rex is a medium to large cat, with heavy boning and the head type very simular to that of the British Shorthair, but with more roundness to the head. The body is muscular and rectangular with good balance between the legs and body with a slight rise at the rear. Selkirks come in both Longhair and Shorthair varieties and come in most colours and patterns.
The Selkirk rex is a relatively new breed with its beginnings in 1987 in Montana USA.
The Selkirk has an adventurous nature (ACTION CAT!) and is a natural born clown. They are very intelligent, loyal and extremely playful, so a few tinkle balls are a must. A Selkirk will happily perform for you to gain the spotlight and has the ability to make a game out of everything. They are very people orientated and enjoy being involved in every aspect of family life.
All Selkirks have a distinct personality and an individual look. The Selkirk Rex is true delight.
